Sri Lanka is burning. There are island-wide electricity cuts, shortages of gas, fuel being rationed, lack of food and basic necessities, skyrocketing inflation and an economic crisis like never before. The corruption and incompetency of a Government built on nepotism has destroyed our country and as always, the poor and marginalised suffer at the hands of evil powers. People are being jailed for exercising their right to peaceful protests. Our people have been through enough and they deserve better. 📸 Amitha Thennakoon #gohomegota2022
Being back home this Christmas, I was so grateful that out of the many things my parents taught us, I got to share in my dad’s love for books and my mum’s appreciation for nature 🌳📚
